My journey into the world of financial planning began with a pivotal moment that changed the course of my life. It all started when I stumbled upon a pamphlet given to my parents, outlining basic financial concepts like paying yourself first, building an emergency fund, and starting to invest early. From that moment on, my commitment to learning and growing in the field of finance was ignited. Before finding my true calling in financial planning, I was an Emmy Award-winning sportscaster—a role that allowed me to connect with audiences through stories of triumph and determination in the world of sports. Though I've transitioned into the financial realm, my passion for effective communication and storytelling remains a driving force in helping clients understand their financial options.
Eventually, I took the leap and became a Certified Financial Planner™, a journey that required years of study and experience. The process of becoming a CFP® is no small feat—it involves rigorous coursework, comprehensive exams, and ongoing education to ensure that practitioners are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional financial guidance.
Beyond my professional endeavors, family has always been central to my life. My wife, Donna, is a distinguished figure in the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame, and her achievements serve as a constant inspiration to me. Together, we have three incredible grown children, two sons who have served in the Air Force, and a daughter who has dedicated her career to nursing. As proud grandparents, our five precious grandchildren bring immense joy to our lives.
In our leisure time, Donna and I share a love for staying active and enjoying the outdoors. Whether it's bicycling, pickleball, or hitting the golf course, we believe in combining fitness with fun. Personally, I'm also an avid reader, delving into books about history, politics, and, of course, financial planning. Staying well-informed allows me to better serve my clients and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of personal finance.
At Soar Wealth Strategies, we're dedicated to empowering individuals and families to achieve financial success through comprehensive planning strategies. Whether you're navigating the complexities of retirement planning, saving for your child's education, or safeguarding your assets through estate planning and risk management solutions, I'm here to provide personalized expertise and guidance tailored to your unique circumstances. From optimizing investment portfolios to minimizing tax liabilities and ensuring your legacy for future generations, my goal is to equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to confidently pursue your financial goals. With Soar Wealth Strategies, you can rest assured that your financial future is in capable hands, backed by a commitment to excellence and a passion for helping.

My journey into the world of finance started early, as my father taught me the value of a dollar as I grew up. We were a middle-class family that didn’t have all the fancy things, but we never went without. My father would say, “Hard work pays off,” and“ Remember to pay yourself first.” He instilled in me a strong work ethic, the importance of education, and investing long-term. Once I graduated from college, I was driven to learn about investing in my 401k and how to compliment that with additional investment accounts. I learned quickly that many basic investing concepts were not taught in high school or college. This disappointment fueled me to learn about investing and to make sure I controlled my financial future.
Striving for financial security is one of the most important goals that I want for my clients. My goal is to empower families to have this security so they can live their best lives. I believe in a work/life balance, and not only money, but planning is essential to achieve that balance. I provide clear, straightforward advice, telling my clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. This makes the difference. I pride myself on being the quarterback guiding them down the field towards their goals. In a world of misinformation, I help families navigate through the noise and keep them on track.
My pursuit to be a better advisor for myself and my clients led me to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner in 2024. This coursework took over a year to complete, but demonstrates the highest level of comprehensive planning in the industry. I believe this coursework allows me to better prepare my clients for generational planning through many different facets, including estate planning, Medicare options, financial planning, and wealth transfer.
In my leisure time, my wife Amy and I enjoy spending time together. We have been married for over 16 years, and I would not have been able to realize my goals and dreams without her unwavering support. Our two dogs Higgins and Norman keep us active with nightly neighborhood walks. They are extremely spoiled and enjoy taking road trips in the car! Amy and I spend time together golfing, biking, gardening, and trying new restaurants throughout the Omaha area. We are both big college football fans, so you can find us entertaining friends and family on Saturdays.
Soar Wealth Strategies is dedicated to partnering with families to provide personalized advice and guidance. We are proud to help clients achieve their goals, but more importantly, live their best lives possible.

The earliest lesson about the value of money happened to me when I was around six years old. On an ordinary summer Saturday, my father and I were picking up and throwing away papers and trash in our backyard. While doing so, I found a penny on the ground and with little thought, I threw it into the waste can with the rest of the trash.
Immediately, my father noticed and questioned me on my actions, and my response was, “it’s just a penny.” Like a movie script, later that same day my brother and I accompanied my father to a car parts store as we did a lot of weekends back in those days. As we approached the counter, I noticed a candy machine that sold gumballs for a penny. As I turned to my father to ask for some change to purchase a gumball, before the words even exited from out of my mouth, my father said to me, “I bet you wish you had that penny now!"
That was a hard lesson to learn for a six-year-old child. It hit even harder as my brother sat next to me on the ride home happily chomping on his penny gumball smiling at me through his blue, stained teeth.
I am a planner by nature, and the experiences of my blue-collar upbringing fueled my lifelong interest in budgeting, saving, and investing for the future. That passion ultimately led me to my career in the financial industry. Today, I am lucky enough to help hundreds of clients with the investment goals most important to them and their families. This is our commitment to our clients. It is our focus to make sure your goals are understood, and you are informed about the options available to you.
Although I have been fortunate to have a successful career in business and within the financial industry, my proudest achievement is my marriage to my wife Jodi of over 25 years. Together we have raised two amazing sons, and we look forward to the continued growth of our family with their upcoming weddings. Because my family means so much to me, I know the importance of making sure the guidance we provide is what is important to you and your family.
What are the financial questions that keep you up at night? When can I retire? Will I have enough for retirement? Am I saving enough? Are my investments aligned correctly to my personal risk tolerance? How are my investments impacting my taxes now, and in the future? When should I take social security? How should I save for my kids college? How do I understand my Medicare options?
What are YOUR questions? We would like to help provide the answers. Please contact us to discuss your unique situation and the options available. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our clients and community.

As a Financial Advisor at Soar Wealth Strategies, I bring a lifelong passion for numbers and a deep-rooted commitment to helping individuals achieve financial security. My journey into the world of finance began in my early years, where my love for mathematics flourished as my favorite subject in school.
Growing up in a small town where my father worked at the local bank, I was immersed in the world of finance from an early age. I fondly recall accompanying him to work, eagerly pretending to be a teller behind the counter. Little did I know then, those early experiences would shape my career path in profound ways.
One of the toughest lessons I learned came when I landed my first job and embarked on the journey of saving. Despite diligently depositing my earnings into my savings account, I watched with dismay as my balance seemed to dwindle rather than grow. Unbeknownst to me, my father, with his banking expertise, had been quietly setting aside funds for my future education, a realization that dawned on me during my college years. Though challenging at the time, this experience instilled in me a profound appreciation for the importance of financial planning and vision.
In 2003, I embarked on my professional career in banking, laying the foundation for my future endeavors in the financial industry. However, in 2012, driven by a desire to explore deeper into the complexities of the stock market and retirement planning, I made the transition to the financial industry.
Prior to joining Soar Wealth Strategies in 2022, I dedicated over a decade to serving as a Senior Branch Office Administrator for Jon Schuetz. During my tenure, I cultivated enduring relationships with clients, assisting them in reaching their financial goals with unwavering dedication.
One of my proudest accomplishments in my career has been obtaining my securities registrations, a feat achieved through the successful completion of the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams. This milestone underscores my commitment to continuous learning and reflects the significant sacrifice and time commitment required to pass these demanding examinations. Through perseverance and dedication, I acquired the knowledge needed to provide clients with comprehensive financial support.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I find immense fulfillment in my roles as a devoted wife to my husband Adam and a loving mother to our four amazing children: Grace, Isaac, Eli, and Chloe. Together, we revel in the joy of family activities and embrace the beautiful chaos of parenthood, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

I discovered my passion for finance at a young age. One memory that stands out is
visiting my grandparents and hearing the NYSE bell ring on TV as I walked through the
door. That simple sound sparked a lasting curiosity about the economy and our financial
system.
I graduated from Northwest Missouri State in 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Financial
Services. While attending school, I had the honor of playing for the Bearcat baseball
team. Balancing athletics and academics taught me the value of consistency and how
small, intentional steps each day can lead to meaningful progress over time.
In 2023, I married my wife, Emma, in our hometown of Wayne, Nebraska. Outside of
work, we enjoy going to the gym, staying active in our church community, and spending
as much time as possible with our family and friends.
